I set out this weekend determined to learn to knit socks. Friday I went to Springwater Fiber Shop and bought double pointed needles and sock yarn. However here it is Sunday night and I have yet to start a sock! I did just finish a hat though...my very first hat! I used big Kureyon and it came out quite nicely. I'll take a pic sometime tomorrow...
Today I went to Knit Happens and got the pattern book 'Rowan Junior'. I saw a few sweaters I'd like to make for the boys which is a shocker because the pickings are usually slim for cute boy patterns. I need more yarn.
I also really liked Earnshaw from Simply Noro. Not that I'll be making it anytime soon~it calls for 10 skeins at about $22 a skein!! Maybe I'll ask for some for Christmas or something?

I *knew* you'd catch the bug! Congrats for the courage to try socks as a new knitter and also congrats on the new blog!
Thanks Christina :o)
Found a link to your blog on a knitting forum. I've been thinking that Waldorf, MD needs a knitting group. Say, meet at Borders the first Tuesday night of the month, or something...
Think there's enough interest?
